"These retail activations reflect exactly the type of ground-floor ecosystem Igloo strives to create. Each concept is authentic and compelling in its own way, and together we're creating a vibrant waterfront destination that feels genuinely rooted in the neighborhood."
"The new Gowanus location will expand on that model with a full-service restaurant and a sizeable outdoor seating area along the waterfront, offering what developers hope will become a gathering place for locals."
"Brooklyn Builders Studio, a creative learning space designed for children and families, will offer workshops, after-school programs and seasonal camps centered on architecture, design and hands-on building projects."
The Domain Companies has finalized 7,500 square feet of ground-floor leases at 420 Carroll Street in Gowanus, bringing three distinct retail concepts to the mixed-use development. Focal Point Brewery, a Long Island City craft brewer, will operate a full-service restaurant with outdoor waterfront seating. BYOB naturale Wine & Spirits, led by restaurateur Alessandro Trezza, will offer curated Italian natural wines and artisanal spirits. Brooklyn Builders Studio, founded by Brooke Hoiliday and Benjamin Hollberg, will provide architecture and design workshops for children and families. These tenants collectively establish the building's ground level as a community-oriented destination serving both residents and the broader neighborhood.
