Regina Myer, president of the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, expressed her excitement about the event, stating, "The weather is beautiful this evening. It's so nice to have a great crowd. We're just excited about our holiday lights that brighten up Fulton Street and Albee Square. And we want people to enjoy the holiday season."
Local resident Stepha LaFond noted, "We go to school not too far away, and our friends live in the building right here, so it's just good to get the kids together and just do something fun for the holidays. Life is crazy; take time to relax and enjoy each other."
Council Member Lincoln Restler remarked that the year 2024 has been a "banner year" for Downtown Brooklyn, which reflects the community's revitalization and energy during the holiday celebrations.
