At Maimonides Medical Center, little Malia Carrasquillo entered the world at 3:54 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2025, weighing 8 pounds, 9 ounces and measuring 21 inches long. She is the first baby of the year born at this Brooklyn hospital, making her arrival a proud and special moment for her family.
