Ferry prices set to rise in September
Briefly

The price hike will be used to fund upgrades to ferry service, according to operator the New York City Economic Development Corporation. The cost of a one-way ticket will rise to $4.50 from $4, while a ten-trip pass will rise to $29 from $27.50, or $2.90 each, in line with the cost of a subway or bus ride.
Discount programs for the ferry are available for seniors, people with disabilities, low-income New Yorkers, and high school students. Information about and application forms for these programs can be found on the official website.
