Units arrived at 3067 Brighton 3rd Street to find heavy fire and smoke venting from the basement of a two-story brick home. Firefighters aggressively attacked the fire, which was placed under control in about 45 minutes.
Fire Department personnel had to force entry into the building as the fire was blowing over their heads. Searches on various floors yielded no victims, and the Fire Marshals Office will determine the cause of the fire.
