Crooks break into Bensonhurst home, steal cash
Briefly

A recent increase in crime has been observed in Bensonhurst and Dyker Heights, New York, with two notable home invasions. Early on April 12, two thieves attacked a resident and stole $2,200 in cash. The victim sustained injuries and was treated at Maimonides Medical Center. This incident follows a similar break-in on April 7 in Dyker Heights, where three robbers attempted to steal but fled empty-handed after being spotted by a neighbor. Authorities have not yet made any arrests in either case, raising concerns about community safety.
The complete disregard for the safety of residents during these break-ins has raised concerns among local residents about their security and potential risks.
While the Bensonhurst robbery resulted in a significant cash theft, the earlier Dyker Heights incident highlights the range of tactics criminals are using in their home invasions.
