The New York City Department of Buildings issued two violations to Luna Park following an incident that involved the Cyclone, Coney Island's nearly 100-year-old rollercoaster.
Local residents expressed mixed reactions. Alexis Gabriele, a frequent visitor to Coney Island, shared her concerns about the ride, stating, 'It always feels like there's going to be a problem. I would not be riding that again.'
Another resident, Neisha Worrell, echoed the sentiment, calling the Cyclone 'super scary.'
The Cyclone will remain closed until the necessary repairs are made and the ride passes inspection.
