Coffee Project NY, a beloved local coffee shop in Brooklyn, has reopened following a brief 10-day renovation aimed at refreshing its appearance and enhancing customer experience. Owner Chi Sum Ngai emphasizes the importance of a bright and welcoming atmosphere, with updates including repainted walls and new lighting. To celebrate, the shop offered free drinks for a limited time. Regulars have expressed joy over the revitalized space, which maintains a Scandinavian design influence. Ngai credits her dedicated team for ensuring smooth operations and emphasizes the shop's integral role in the community.
"The focus was to make the place nicer, more refreshed and brighter [for customers]," she said.
"A customer told me today, 'I can't believe how big of a routine this [place] is to my life'," Ngai said.
"I really rely on my team - I want to shout out Luis (general manager), Josh (lead barista), Andres, Emma, Sheila, Leon, Dre and Pei," Ngai said.
"We have been a neighborhood coffee shop for a long time, so they are happy to be back and are enjoying the brighter interior [and other changes]." Ngai said.
