As spring approaches, Brooklyn prepares for the cherry blossom season, with early-blooming varieties expected soon. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden offers an interactive tracker for over 200 cherry trees, monitoring their bloom status. The garden's Hanami Nights event, running from April 22 to April 25, allows visitors to experience the blossoms illuminated at night, enjoy traditional Japanese food, and participate in cultural performances. Cherry blossoms can also be seen at various Brooklyn locations, including parks and cemeteries, expanding the seasonal celebration of this beautiful floral event.
The museum keeps tabs on its cherry blossoms with an interactive online tracker, which updates the status of over 200 trees, from pre-bloom to post-peak bloom.
This year, marking its highly anticipated return, tickets are already on sale for the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's Hanami Nights, where visitors can stroll through the garden and enjoy the cherry trees illuminated at night.
