Brooklyn Tower Might Get a Slightly Shorter Neighbor
Briefly

Brooklyn's skyline is set to change with plans for a new 72-story tower at 395 Flatbush Avenue, proposed to replace a seven-story building. Mayor Eric Adams promotes the mixed-use development, which will include up to 379 affordable units aimed at households earning 80% of the area median income. This venture, supported by a ground lease with Rabina and Park Tower Group, seeks to promote greater building density under new legislation. The project aims to avoid public funding while potentially utilizing tax incentives for sustainable construction.
At a real-estate forum on Friday, the mayor talked up plans to replace a sad seven-story building on a city-owned site at 395 Flatbush Avenue with a mixed-use 72-story concrete-and-glass tower.
According to a notice in the City Record, of the 1,263 residential units planned for the space, between 253 to 379 affordable units would be set aside for households earning at or below 80 percent of the area median income.
