Brooklyn Small Businesses Devastated by September 29 Floods Receive $75,000 in Grants
Briefly

"When the rain pounded Kings County in September, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce jumped into action, connecting with small businesses owners who experienced severe losses caused by the water damage. Thanks to the donations from New York Presbyterian and Wells Fargo, it will be a little easier for these merchants to recover. There's nobody better than the team at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce when it comes to delivering for small businesses," said Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Randy Peers.
"When the storm hit, the rain just wouldn't stop, and it devastated the Brighton Beach and Bath Beach business community. We immediately reached out to the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, who leapt into action. The Chamber President Randy Peers personally visited our center and helped us in getting connected with the Department of Environmental Protection to do the site visit," said Pervez Siddiqui, business owner.
