More than 150 family, friends, and public figures gathered to honor Aland Etienne, a Brooklyn security guard killed in last month's Midtown mass shooting. He was 46 years old and was a respected security officer employed by McLane Security. Etienne was fatally shot on July 28 at 345 Park Ave., one of four victims in the tragic incident. His funeral was held in Canarsie, attended by a large contingent of his Haitian community and friends, including notable figures such as Mayor Eric Adams and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Etienne's son participated as a pallbearer, and attendees viewed family images during the service.
