The Woodhull II Residence, located at 171 Throop Ave., has opened as a $41.5 million project featuring 93 units targeting affordable and supportive housing. Geared primarily towards NYC Health + Hospitals patients facing homelessness and low-income seniors, the facility will offer 56 supportive housing units with on-site services from Comunilife and access to healthcare at Woodhull Hospital. The building also provides amenities including 24-hour security and communal spaces. It continues the development efforts of affordable housing initiated in 2019 with the first phase, ensuring stability and care for vulnerable populations in New York.
This new housing facility is how we make sure we have places for New Yorkers to heal and be cared for, and provide a path to stability, lasting community, and common purpose.
Eligible patients of NYC Health + Hospitals experiencing homelessness who move into the building's 56 units of supportive housing will have access to on-site services from Comunilife, a housing services provider, and health care from Woodhull Hospital.
