Devonte Brown, 30, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, is charged with second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, as well as multiple counts of sexual abuse and forcible touching. He was arraigned before Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Donald Leo, according to the District Attorney's Office."
"According to the investigation detailed by the District Attorney's Office, the offenses took place between April 1, 2024, and August 22, 2025, while the victims, aged 5, 5, 6, and 9, were under Brown's supervision. The alleged abuse occurred within the confines of the childcare center, where Brown is accused to have inappropriately touched the young girls over and under their clothing."
"Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez described the allegations as a severe breach of trust, noting that children placed in the teacher's care were allegedly harmed. Brown was ordered held on $150,000 cash bail, or alternatively a $300,000 insurance bond or $500,000 partially secured bond, and is scheduled to return to court on March 27, 2026."
