Brooklyn Children's Museum to Host Indigenous Peoples' Day Celebration on Oct. 13-14

"This event provides an opportunity for children and families to learn directly from Native artists and cultural leaders," said Atiba T. Edwards, president and chief executive officer of Brooklyn Children's Museum.
The day's activities include storytelling sessions and dance performances, with highlights such as a hoop dance performance by The Northeastern Haudenosaunee Dance Troupe.
Hands-on food demonstrations showcasing how to make traditional strawberry (ken'niiohontésha) drinks will be featured as part of the celebration.
A Native artisans marketplace located on the BCM rooftop will allow attendees to engage with and support Indigenous artists.
