NYC Service's annual Mayoral Service Recognition Program honored community service efforts, with the Bronx winning two awards. The Partnership Impact Award and the Americorps Alum Award were presented at Gracie Mansion. Part of the Solution (POTS) and Fordham Preparatory School collaborated to provide food and hygiene kits to families in need, raising $142,000 and assembling over 600 hygiene kits. Fordham Prep's service program, rooted in Jesuit values, emphasizes community support and has been active for over 30 years, culminating in a senior service requirement.
