The defendant's guilty plea and today's sentence hold him accountable for a senseless act that took the life of an innocent man, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said.
Turner was taken to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Riley, who had fled the scene, was stopped a short time later by an NYPD detective who recognized Riley's description from a radio alert.
