Viking Fest 2025 at Owl's Head Park showcased the vibrancy of Scandinavian culture with traditional games, music, and performances under perfect weather conditions. Organized by the Scandinavian East Coast Museum, the festival featured a Viking village with reenactors and a gladiator battle, engaging the audience in the Viking experience. Attendees enjoyed musical acts, including accordion performances and traditional dance showcases. Celebrating the community's Scandinavian heritage since the early 20th century, the festival embraces diversity, welcoming everyone to partake in the rich cultural tapestry of New York City.
Under clear blue skies, the annual event featured a variety of traditional games, music and performances, bringing the Viking era to life for all ages.
'We're very grateful to be here, having beautiful weather and being able to share our culture with our community and the larger tri-state area,' said Victoria Hofmo, founder of the Scandinavian East Coast Museum.
'This is the melting pot of New York City,' 'Eclectic Ellen' Lindstromon told Brooklyn Paper last year. 'Everybody is welcome.'
