Richard Moses, who passed away at 94, was a beloved figure in Brooklyn Heights, known for his deep commitment to the community and his photography. Initially a film industry Assistant Director, he prioritized family and locality over long shooting schedules. Alongside his partner, he embraced Brooklyn Heights as home, participating in local clubs and thriving as a photographer. His endeavors enriched the community, particularly through his leadership in the Brooklyn Heights Association and the resurrection of the breakfast club, showcasing his love for social interactions and capturing local life until the very end.
Richard loved driving and explored Brooklyn neighborhoods, capturing street life and events, proving his passion for photography and community involvement until his late years.
As the co-op president for 13 years and an active member of the Brooklyn Heights Association, Richard dedicated much of his life to his neighborhood.
Despite being known for his contributions, Richard cherished his laughter and interactions, envisioning himself as the neighborhood character in his 90s, embracing a whimsical style.
Richard’s legacy includes his passion for photography and community spirit, reflected in the breakfast club and his longtime devotion to Brooklyn Heights.
