"A 12-year-old boy was clinging to life following a vicious stabbing inside a Brooklyn park Thursday, cops said. The child was stabbed in the chest just steps from the Betsy Head Park playground at Thomas S. Boyland St. and Dumont Ave. in Brownsville around 2:53 p.m., police said."
"Medics rushed the teen to surgery at Brookdale University Hospital in critical but stable condition, cops said. A kitchen knife was recovered and two juvenile boys were taken into custody for questioning after the attack, according to a law enforcement source."

A 12-year-old boy was critically stabbed near the Betsy Head Park playground in Brownsville at the intersection of Thomas S. Boyland St. and Dumont Ave. around 2:53 p.m. on Thursday. The child suffered a chest wound and medics rushed him to Brookdale University Hospital, where he went into surgery in critical but stable condition. A kitchen knife was recovered at the scene. Two juvenile boys were taken into custody for questioning, according to a law enforcement source. Within a police cordon, officers spotted a purple backpack, a winter coat and bloody clothes next to the recovered knife. No arrests have been made.
