Harvard Alumni Day attracted over 9,600 alumni from various class years and schools, celebrating the collective resilience and strength of the Harvard community. The event featured presentations, musical performances, and a keynote by Atul Gawande, M.D. '95. The President of the Harvard Alumni Association, Moitri Chowdhury Savard '93, emphasized the importance of embracing diverse truths and shared values like freedom of expression and respect. This year's reunion reflected on the challenges faced by the university and the alumni's role in navigating these complexities together.
"Today I am even more convinced that we must strengthen this muscle to hold multiple truths and to coalesce around our many shared values, particularly freedom of thought and expression, and respect and kindness," said Savard.
"Amid ongoing challenges, the Alumni Day highlighted our resilience, emphasizing the importance of connecting across differences and maintaining shared values within the Harvard community."
