This famous Manhattan restaurant is opening a permanent location in the Hamptons this summer
"Camp is about coming back. It's about that feeling when you walk in and everything feels familiar-the energy, the smells, the music, the food-and yet there's something new waiting for you. This summer we watched families create real traditions. That's when we knew this had to become annual."
"The Hamptons outpost takes the spirit of Rubirosa's Mulberry Street restaurant and give it a summer home. But instead of copying downtown Manhattan, Camp Rubirosa takes a vacation. There are big communal tables, an outdoor bar, Sunday Suppers and sunset vibes."
"The setting is all about bringing those camp-like vibes. A central brick fireplace anchors the dining room before it spills out into Ciao Hall and onto the Piazza. It's part Italian restaurant, part backyard party, part nostalgia trip."
Camp Rubirosa, which debuted as a successful pop-up in East Hampton last summer, is now confirmed as a permanent annual seasonal fixture. The venue brings the spirit of Rubirosa's Manhattan restaurant to the Hamptons with a vacation-focused approach, featuring communal tables, outdoor bars, Sunday Suppers, and sunset experiences. The space combines a central brick fireplace with indoor and outdoor dining areas, creating an Italian restaurant atmosphere mixed with backyard party vibes. The menu emphasizes signature Italian American comfort food with seasonal variations. Co-founder Maria Pappalardo noted that families created real traditions during the inaugural season, prompting the decision to make it annual. The venue opens May 15 each season.
