The Falmouth Police Department is investigating a concerning incident where nearly 500 nails were found on various roads and driveways in Falmouth, Cape Cod. Officers first spotted the hazardous nails during a patrol on John Parker Road at 2 a.m. on Friday. The investigation revealed that nails were also discovered on Clark Street, Old Barnstable Road, and Prince Henry Drive, with some placed strategically under vehicle tires. With assistance from the town's Department of Public Works, a total of 478 nails were collected. Authorities are seeking information from the community regarding this potential act of vandalism.
"Some nails were positioned under vehicle tires in driveways," Falmouth police said, offering several photos of the offending hardware.
