Greater Boston location of Uno Pizzeria reportedly saved by general manager

Uno Pizzeria & Grill's Revere location reopened five weeks after closing in January when general manager Amalia Korom purchased the shuttered restaurant and completed major renovations. Korom rehired all previous employees, preserving a combined 100+ years of staff employment history. The Northgate Shopping Center location had operated for 34 years. Uno Pizzeria, which claims to have invented deep dish pizza at its original Chicago location, closed multiple underperforming Greater Boston locations due to rising operational costs and changing consumer dining habits. The Revere location now stands as the sole Greater Boston Uno Pizzeria, with eight locations remaining across New England. The chain's corporate office operates from Norwood, Massachusetts.
