Jacob Henriques, a former assistant admissions director at Emmanuel College, has been arrested on charges of attempted sex trafficking after allegedly propositioning a 17-year-old prospective student and a 13-year-old girl. Prosecutors claim he exploited his position to access personal information and made inappropriate offers to several young women he interacted with. Henriques was fired from the college after his arrest and is being held without bail pending further legal proceedings, highlighting a troubling abuse of authority in an educational setting.
Prosecutors say that Henriques met with multiple admitted or prospective students on April 25 and subsequently offered to pay four of them for 'some fun.'
Henriques allegedly reviewed her personal information, including her date of birth, just before giving her a tour of Emmanuel. He began texting her within hours of finishing the tour.
