DOJ is sending its 'Federal Task Force to Combat Antisemitism' to Boston
Briefly

The DOJ announced a federal task force will visit Boston, New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago to address antisemitism in schools and on college campuses. The task force, formed per President Trump's Executive Order, seeks to identify whether local schools failed to protect Jewish students, potentially violating federal laws. Attorney General Pamela Bondi emphasized the need for action against rising antisemitism, citing concerns about inaction. The task force aims to engage local leadership and community members to determine appropriate federal responses and support for affected students and families.
"Too many elected officials chose not to stand up to a rising tide of antisemitism in our cities and campuses following the horrific events of October 7, 2023," Attorney General Pamela Bondi said in a statement. "Actions have consequences - inaction does, too."
The task force wants to engage with "city leadership, impacted students, local law enforcement, and community members as it gathers information about these incidents and considers whether federal intervention is warranted," according to the announcement.
