Steve DiFillippo is celebrating four decades of leading Davio's, an Italian steakhouse franchise he purchased in 1985. Since then, he has expanded the brand to 11 locations across five states. His commitment to restaurant culture began in childhood, cooking for his family and working in various eateries during college. When I first started it was just this little Davio's on Newbury Street... Now we're over a thousand people.
I always enjoyed smiling faces and the excitement of people eating food that I cooked; it was something that I just loved.
It's a great camp out in Western Massachusetts... We take inner-city kids from Boston and bring them out there.
I love what I do, and I want to keep doing it. I want to keep growing and keep doing more restaurants.
