Greater Boston's dining scene is seeing many new restaurant openings across the metro area in 2025, with a mix of already open spots and upcoming debuts. Capricho opens in Washington Square offering fine-dining Colombian cuisine with wood-grilled prime cuts, live music, late-night hours, and pending liquor licensing. A Portsmouth bakery expanded to the Seaport with French technique and Mediterranean influence, currently in soft opening. A French-Japanese izakaya gained popularity for Instagrammable hand rolls, smoky bubble cocktails, and caviar-topped chicken nuggets, operating on a walk-in basis. Additional openings are planned throughout Brookline and the South End this fall.
