White Sox reliever Matt Foster has 'new appreciation' after returning from Tommy John surgery
Briefly

"As soon as the (seventh) inning finished, I was like, 'All right, it's time to go. Get back on again,'" Foster said, reflecting on his anticipation to pitch again after a long recovery.
"Not an easy position to come into, late in a game and first game back in a while, but he threw well, got ahead of guys and gave us a big inning when we needed it," said interim manager Grady Sizemore, praising Foster's performance.
"There's been times I've pitched (in Houston) and it hasn't gone well. (Friday) night it was a good confidence booster, especially coming back after all these things. (Friday) night was a lot of fun," Foster shared after his successful return.
"The biggest thing when you do get back out there is getting comfortable. It was a long time down, the speed of the game, the feel...to get in there, come in and throw strikes and get a clean inning was probably huge for his confidence and us," Sizemore added.
