White Sox pitcher Thorpe having elbow procedure
Briefly

Drew Thorpe, a right-hander for the Chicago White Sox, will have surgery to remove a bone spur from his pitching elbow, and is set to start Spring Training without limitations.
The surgery will take place at Golden State Orthopedics in San Francisco, performed by Dr. Kenneth Akizuki, as the White Sox aim to ensure Thorpe's return to full health.
Having made his MLB debut on June 11, Thorpe's season included nine starts, but he faced challenges with a 5.48 ERA and a right forearm flexor strain.
A key player in multiple trades, Drew Thorpe was previously drafted by the Yankees and later traded to the Padres, before joining the White Sox for Dylan Cease.
