Jeff Gross, an avid collector, discovered a treasure trove of historically significant baseball cards while assisting a friend with a family garage sale in Danvers.
The realization came when a tab labeled "Morehouse Baking" caught Gross's eye, leading to the discovery of two extremely rare Babe Ruth rookie cards.
The Morehouse cards, which were initially offered as promotions in the 1910s, are today extremely rare, with the Danvers man's collection containing 119 such cards.
The auction for the Babe Ruth rookie card is expected to fetch half a million dollars or more, highlighting the card's incredible rarity and value.
