Royals 8, Red Sox 4: Whiz Witt
Briefly

The Sox were cruising. But not for long. Suppose you were tired and rested your eyes and when they opened, it was 7-4 Royals. Kutter Crawford allowed six runs. You'd be like: What the hell? But also you'd understand, and your readers would understand. Provided you have them.
It almost got worse but Ceddanne Rafaela did this: But as I wrote that, and wrote a long paragraph about something I realized later was totally wrong, the Sox went 1-2-3 in the eighth and evaporated after that. They've still got plenty of time, but that would've been nice to have. But they have time. Yet it would have been nice. And so on.
