Reliving the Red Sox playoff clinching celebrations
"Getting back to the postseason always calls for a champagne-soaked party! And getting there for the first time in four years is especially meaningful. Take a look at what happened last night! First everyone got their brand new October Baseball shirts on, and took a photo with the backdrop of the Monster behind them. Then everybody made their way into the clubhouse and got ready to pop bottles! Alex Cora made a speech and at its conclusion, the party was on:"
"Ceddanne Rafaela and Wilyer Abreu both briefly went live on Instagram to chronicle bits of the party. Then the shirts started coming off, and some players made their way back onto the field: And then a few guys ran past the Bleacher Bar fence to show the fans there some love! And that was mostly that. A few more interviews, a few more cigars smoked, a few more beers chugged, and the night came to a close."
The team clinched a postseason spot for the first time in four years and marked the achievement with a champagne-soaked celebration. Everyone wore new October Baseball shirts and posed for a photo with the Monster behind them. The clubhouse filled as players prepared to pop bottles; Alex Cora gave a speech and the celebration escalated. Ceddanne Rafaela and Wilyer Abreu briefly streamed parts of the party on Instagram. Players removed shirts, returned to the field, and some ran by the Bleacher Bar fence to salute fans. The night included interviews, cigars, beers, and wound down with another game scheduled the next day.
