Things have not gone Marcelo Mayer's way ever since the top prospect of the Boston Red Sox got promoted to Double-A Portland early last week.But the 20-year-old got the hype train back on the tracks Sunday.After beginning his Double-A tenure with an eye-popping 0-for-16 stretch, Mayer collected his first base hits and drove in his first runs at that level in Portland's 5-4 loss in 10 innings to the Somerset Patriots.
