Liam Hendriks, the three-time All-Star relief pitcher, is approaching a return to the Boston Red Sox after an extensive rehab from Tommy John surgery.
Boston's roster is healthier than it has been since April, with several key players returning, including Treve Story making a comeback from a serious shoulder injury.
Manager Alex Cora indicated that Hendriks could be activated as soon as this weekend, following his participation in back-to-back rehabbing games.
