The Red Sox and right-handed reliever Adam Ottavino have agreed to a minor deal with a spring training invite, according to New York Post columnist Jon Heyman.
Ottavino spent the last three seasons with the Mets, where he pitched in 60 games last season, collecting 70 strikeouts in 56 innings.
Overall, Ottavino's ERA with the Mets was 3.14, and during his previous stint with the Red Sox, he had a 4.21 ERA.
He was first called up by the Cardinals in 2010 after being drafted in 2006 as the 30th overall pick.
