Nationals Notes: Soroka, Wood, Garcia
Briefly

In his Spring Training debut, he pitched three scoreless innings with an impressive average velocity of 95mph, significantly up from his career average. Both Soroka and Nationals manager Dave Martinez expressed optimism about his ability to maintain this velocity throughout the season. If healthy, Soroka is poised to play an essential role in the Nationals' rotation alongside other pitchers.

Both Soroka and manager Dave Martinez appeared encouraged by the start, with Martinez calling it "very encouraging" for the pitcher’s prospects this season.
Soroka noted that the feeling of where his fastball reached after three innings was exciting, stating he can replicate that velocity repeatedly.
