In signing a two-year, $34MM deal with the Rangers, Eovaldi's contract included a $2MM signing bonus and structured salaries, with incentives tied to his performance.
To vest his option, Eovaldi had to accumulate 300 innings over two seasons; having thrown 156 innings this year and 144 last season, he has met that threshold.
