Daniel Moskos is set to become the Marlins' lead pitching coach, marking the first time in this role for the 38-year-old who previously played briefly in the majors.
After being drafted fourth overall by the Pirates in 2007, Moskos had a limited MLB career, featuring in just 31 games before transitioning to coaching.
Moskos brings coaching experience from the Yankees and Cubs, where he spent the last three seasons, further bolstering the Marlins' coaching staff.
The Marlins, under first-year manager Clayton McCullough, are actively shaping their coaching staff, having also hired Carson Vitale as bench coach and Pedro Guerrero as hitting instructor.
