The Kia Tigers signed former MLB left-hander Stout as a temporary replacement for James Naile, who is out after sustaining a broken jaw injury.
Stout, with 23 MLB appearances, had a rough major league stint but excelled in Taiwan's CPBL, finishing the season with a 2.77 ERA.
Naile, despite struggling in the majors, posted an impressive 2.53 ERA in Triple-A and was making strides with the Kia Tigers before his injury.
While Naile's injury appears to end his regular season, there’s hope for his return in the playoffs, given his promising performance earlier this year.
