The Guardians have reinstated left-hander Erik Sabrowski from the 60-day injured list, marking a significant boost to their bullpen. In a corresponding move, right-hander has been optioned to Triple-A Columbus. To accommodate Sabrowski on the 40-man roster, outfielder Will Brennan was transferred to the 60-day IL. Sabrowski, showing earlier promise with a scoreless debut and solid postseason performance, faced elbow inflammation that hindered his 2025 start. Following a rehab assignment, he joins the team to reinforce their left-handed pitching options alongside Kolby Allard.
Sabrowski, 27, had a very promising big league debut. He was added to Cleveland's roster at the end of August last year and tossed 12 2/3 scoreless innings.
To open a 40-man spot, outfielder Will Brennan has been transferred to the 60-day IL. The 40-man roster remains full.
