Fenway concession workers begin strike over wages
Briefly

Fenway Park concession workers went on strike on Friday after Aramark did not meet union demands for better wages, marking a historic event in Fenway's 113-year history. The strike will coincide with the Red Sox vs. Dodgers homestand. Workers have been encouraged to continue attending games, but to refrain from purchasing food or drink to show support for the strikers. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders publicly supported the workers, urging both Aramark and Red Sox owner John Henry to negotiate fairly.
The strike began at noon on Friday and will last the entire Fenway-Dodgers homestand. Workers walked out after Aramark failed to meet the union's demands for better wages.
