Diamondbacks Sign J.P. Feyereisen To A Minor League Deal
Briefly

The Diamondbacks have signed pitcher J.P. Feyereisen to a minor league contract. After being selected in the 16th round by Cleveland in 2014, Feyereisen's career included notable performances with the Brewers and Rays, showcasing excellent stats but ultimately hampered by injuries. In 2022, he began the season with scoreless innings but was sidelined due to shoulder surgery, leading to a lackluster return in 2024 with the Dodgers, where he posted an 8.18 ERA. His injury history and recent struggles led him to free agency before the Diamondbacks' contract offer.
Feyereisen's real first crack at a significant role with Milwaukee came in 2021, where he posted a solid 3.26 ERA in 19 1/3 innings.
After being traded to the Rays, Feyereisen found another gear, achieving a 2.45 ERA in 36 2/3 innings, leading to a season ERA of 2.73.
His 2022 season started excellently as he posted 24 1/3 scoreless frames with a 1.67 FIP and a 2.93 SIERA, but a shoulder injury derailed it.
In 2024, after returning from injury, he struggled in L.A. with an 8.18 ERA and a poor performance in the minors with a 5.48 ERA.
