Boston acquired left-handed starting pitcher James Paxton from the Los Angeles Dodgers for a minor league infielder, 17-year-old Moises Bolivar, on Friday.
The Red Sox hope to see newly acquired pitcher James Paxton surpass 100 innings this season, a mark he hasn't reached since 2019 with the New York Yankees.
Red Sox manager Alex Cora commented on Paxton's recent performance: "Throughout the season, the fastball has been down, but not last week."
