The Cardinals will suffer a revenue drop of 23% next season but have made a multi-year streaming deal with FanDuel to present games directly to fans.
With the new contract, consumers in St. Louis can access Cardinals games via the FanDuel app without needing a TV provider, significantly reducing blackouts.
The previous broadcasting deal brought in roughly $75MM, but with the revised agreement, the Cardinals will see their rights fees drop to around $57-58MM.
This agreement does not extend into the 2030s and allows the team some flexibility in light of the evolving landscape of sports media rights.
