Angels 5, Red Sox 2: Back to Being Bad
Briefly

The Red Sox suffered their third sweep of the season, falling to two games under .500 after failing to maintain an early lead. Despite Richard Fitts's decent return to major league pitching with striking results, offensive support was lacking. Trevor Story did provide some brightness with a critical 2-run RBI single, but overall the team managed only three hits throughout the game. The bullpen continued to falter, with Guerrero and Bernardino failing to keep the score tied. The performance ultimately underscored ongoing issues with the team, especially against left-handed pitchers.
If you leave the back-to-back home runs out of it, it was actually a very good start for Dick Fitts, despite only going 4 innings.
Kikuchi had 12 strikeouts against the Sox and helped restore the narrative that the Sox can't hit off lefties.
Trevor Story's clutch gene does exist, although it doesn't show itself all the time. Today it did.
The only good thing the Red Sox did all day was Trevor Story's 2-run single.
