Applications for affordable housing in Waterford set to open for as little as 3000,000
Prospective homeowners can apply for an affordable housing scheme at Mill Heights in Crooke, Passage East, starting in mid-June. Waterford City and County Council, in partnership with Carey Homes, will offer nine homes for sale overlooking the Waterford Estuary. The development includes seven three-bedroom semi-detached homes and two three-bedroom detached bungalows, all A Rated. The homes are supported through affordable purchase arrangements under the Affordable Housing Act 2021, providing an additional subsidy in the form of an equity stake via the council. Minimum purchase prices are €300,000 for semi-detached units and €330,000 for detached bungalows. Applicants must be first-time buyers or qualify under the Fresh Start Principle.
