"I always wanted to go out when I was on top,'' Gorman says. "If I use the reaction of people on the street, I'd say I've hit it right in the button."
Gorman, 76, has expertly called Celtics games for 43 seasons, crediting the fans for their support throughout his impactful tenure alongside notable players and colleagues.
While Gorman will call the Celtics' playoff games, his final regular-season game will be a significant moment celebrated with tributes for his remarkable contributions to the Celtics.
"I don't think it'll hit me until I really get in a situation where I look up at the clock and see that there's three minutes left in the game and the Celtics are up by 20 and that this is going to be it," Gorman shared regarding his impending farewell.
