After Game 1 loss, Heat working to solve difficult math problem vs. Celtics. Is there a solution?
Briefly

Teams are now 13-95 this season when being outscored by 30 or more points on threes. The Celtics finished with a huge 66-36 edge from three-point range to crush the Heat.
The Celtics made 10 more threes than the Heat, tying their franchise record for a playoff game. This marked just the third time in franchise history that Miami allowed 22 or more three-point makes.
"We kind of expected them to shoot that many threes," said Heat forward Nikola Jovic. "The whole season, I think they averaged 43 threes." He emphasized the Celtics' effective shooting and highlighted the challenge it poses.
"The question is: How can the Heat tilt some of the math in its favor?" Jovic suggested shooting more and avoiding passing up open shots with drive fakes, emphasizing the need for better offensive decisions.
