Recap: Bruins battle back, but fall 4-3 to Capitals
Briefly

The Boston Bruins suffered a tough 4-3 loss to the Washington Capitals, marking a ninth consecutive defeat. The Bruins fell behind early, trailing by two goals after the first period. However, they rallied in the second, netting two goals to even the score, showcasing resilience. Despite the Capitals pulling ahead once more, David Pastrnak's second goal kept hope alive, but the Bruins ultimately couldn't secure a win in front of their home crowd after a long road trip. Interim coach Joe Sacco emphasized his team's effort and determination throughout the game.
The guys are trying to get a win here,” Interim head coach Joe Sacco said. Despite his team's loss, he felt the effort was there and gave credit to the team to first battle back down two goals to tie the game in the second and then not get discouraged when the Capitals regained a two-goal lead in the third.
That's the attitude that we have to have right now,” Sacco said. “Regardless of what happens, we are going to play hard right until the very end.
The Bruins were able to bounce back in the second period, outshooting Washington in the frame and making it a 2-2 game after 40 minutes.
Pastrnak answered back with his second goal of the night, but the Bruins would ultimately drop their first home game back after a long road trip.
